Life With My 3 Boybarians is hosting a NOT Back to School Blog Hop and this week is Curriculum Week. I know I’ve already given a good description of the main curriculum we’ll be using, Sonlight, I thought this would be a good time to give a more detailed look at all of our plans.

I’m really excited about this school year. We have already started some phonics instruction and it is going so well. I am learning that the key to this is consistency, just like everything else.
Our first “official” school day is next Monday, August 10. I am planning some fun things for that day to celebrate the beginning of a whole new phase of life for us!
You can visit Life With My 3 Boybarians and/or Teacking My Little BookWorm to see the curriculum plans other moms are using for this school year.

What curriculum (if any) did you use last year with the girls? Did any of your materials carry over? 🙂

Just a thought that popped into my head I don’t know for sure if it was that book or another one, but one of The Berenstain Bear’ Books has a very atheistic world view presented in “nature is all that there is and all that ever was or will be.” point of view.

Glad things are already going so well [smile]. I look forward to the little glimpses we’ll have over the year, and cheering you on as you start in a week!

I am also using the Sonlight P4/5 Curriculum this year with my girls. I am so excited! This is my first year using Sonlight. I tracked my package and it will arrive tomorrow. Yippee!
Do you have a new daily schedule now that you are starting school? How much time do you think you’ll spend each day?

Core P4/5, what nice memories. We used it last year for Kindergarten, and some 4 years before that for Kinder too. Thanks for sharing on the Blog Hop.

I will be using a unit study called A World of Adventure for everything except Math and Science. The kiddies also like online learning, so on their free time, they do lessons on time4learning.com
If you want to know more about A World of Adventure or view some free homeschool curriculum links, please feel free to visit my blog: http://worldofdicovery.blogspot.com/

I have done some laid back homeschooling up to this point, but we are starting kindergarten and preschool next Monday too. I am so excited. I am so thankful I’m able to teach my girls at home.
