Today’s Blog Prompt from DSP: What books have you abandoned (without finishing) and why?

I am an avid reader and can blow through a good book in no time, but I have realized that lately since I’ve been so busy with my children that I have been abandoning more books than ever, most of them being nonfiction parenting or some other type of “self-improvement” books that are a bit unrealistic right now.

Most of these books that have been “abandoned” are books that I am really interested in reading, and would really like to come back to. For instance, just last night, I was looking at my bookshelf and noticed The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace sitting on the top shelf. I purchased this book years ago wanting to read and apply it. But life got too busy and “The Excellent Wife” was set aside. What a shame, huh?
