My husband loves dinners that are quick and easy for me to make. I love him for that!
In fact when we were dating, he told me his favorite meal was smoked sausage (fried, of course) and Kraft Mac’n Cheese. HOW EASY IS THAT!!??
The Army family is close and we help each other out when we can. I found a great recipe for baked spaghetti when I was looking for something that I could easily make at a moment’s notice when a family was in need. It has become my stand-by casserole type dish to deliver.
And my family quickly became fans of this dish, so I usually make double and it’s our dinner for that night too.
What Works For Me Wednesday is hosting a special day of “Five Ingredients or Less” recipes. This recipe has only four, so….I’M IN!
Ingredients:
3/4 lb lean ground beef
1 (16 oz) jar spaghetti sauce (I personally like to use Ragu garden vegetable sauce to add some veggies)
1 lb spaghetti
1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large skillet, cook hamburger until brown. Mix spaghetti sauce into skillet. Reduce heat and simmer.
2. Meanshile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Mix in pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
3. Mix together spaghetti and meat mixture, pour into 9X13 pan. Top with cheese and bake for 30 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
