I spent my birthday today in the best way imaginable…with my people.
This morning at breakfast my husband asked me if I had any plans for my day. I couldn’t think of any…but MC piped up with, “She’s going to spend time with her babies!”
And that’s exactly what I’ve done!
We headed out to the state park mid-morning and I had the best time just enjoying my family.
My husband is my best friend! We enjoy spending time together so much…he loves me way more than I deserve and I feel so spoiled by him. I am so thankful for his friendship, his leadership, his sacrifices, and his unconditional love.
My girls are such a delight and an encouragement to me.
MC woke up early this morning just because she was so excited to celebrate my special day. She is a precious, precious girl…my miracle baby…who makes me laugh throughout the day.
EA wore her “My Mom Rocks” t-shirt as a surprise for me today. She is such an encourager and a lover. She lavishes me with sweet words of kindness and praise. Whenever I leave to go somewhere, she says, “Bye, the best mommy in the world!” I question every single thing I do as a mother, so these words are a tremendous blessing.
Will is my sweet boy who challenges me and teaches me so many lessons. I look into his eyes sometimes and my heart just melts. His one desire above anything else is to fit in…it has to be hard being the one little boy stuck in the middle of girls. My heart has a special, tender spot for this sweet son of mine.
And then there’s Jenny. I spent the morning playing with her in her room after she woke up this morning and it was time cherished. It was time that we both wanted to hold on to.
This precious love has everyone in this family wrapped around her chubby little fingers, including her mommy. This is evidenced in her getting me to slide down the slide on the playground today.
How did she do that???
How did I do that???
After our morning at the park, we came home for lunch followed by cake and presents.
My girls asked their daddy to take them shopping yesterday for a birthday present for me. They even picked out something for their little brother and sister to give me too.
They were all so excited to give and to bless.
They found the cutest little picture frames from Michaels…one for each of their pictures.
And with his gift of an ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchen Aid my husband guaranteed that we’ll be enjoying ice cream later this weekend.
LOTS of ice cream!!!
We’re going out for Mexican with the kids tonight to finish off this perfect day.
I am reminded of how incredibly blessed I am today.
