As so many bloggers are descending upon Chicago this weekend for BlogHer’s Annual Blogging Conference, I am sitting here at home in Germany, in my comfortable pajamas. No, I will not be in Chicago living it up with some of the top name Mommy Bloggers….surprise, surprise!!
But I’m not going to let that stop me from having a little fun right here on my blog. Pensive Robin is hosting Blog Hop ’09 for those not attending BlogHer.
The goal of this blog hop is to introduce bloggers to one another. Just like at a party where you meet new friends, you have a chance to mix and mingle by visiting the other bloggers signed up on the Mr. Linky and finding new bloggy friends.
With that said, I guess I should get to introducing myself…
I am a stay at home mom to three children, EA, MC, and Will. EA and MC are four year old twins and Will is their two year old brother. Yes, I KNOW the definition of terrible two’s well. My husband is an Army chaplain and we are currently stationed in Germany. He also just returned from a fourteen month deployment. Yes, I said fourteen months. It was long and hard, but we survived.
I write about lots of things here at Daily Dwelling….from funny antidotes to devotions. I love taking and sharing pictures of my kids and their silly antics. And I also often share a bit about living in Germany and being a part of the Army culture. Oh, yeah, I enjoying digital scrapbooking and share my creations here, but it never seems as if I have enough time for that hobby.
But above all else, I am striving to “dwell” on those things outlined in one of my favorite verses of scripture, Philippians 4:8.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
If you’re here from the Blog Hop….Welcome! Please stay a while and look around. Feel free to read more about us in my About page, browse my archives and most recent posts and subscribe if you like what you see.
And thanks for visiting! I look forward to visiting you as well.
Happy Blog Hopping ’09!

Hi, Monica!! My husband is in the military, too. 14 months?! WOW!! God bless you!! Did you stay in Germany by yourself the whole time? My husband was gone off and on (mostly gone..lol) the last year and a half we were in Okinawa. That was interesting but I had great church support and loved being there.
Please thank your husband for his service to our country!
God bless,
Sallie

I’ve never left North America and never been to the lower 48. I can’t imagine being “overseas”.
I am striving to know God’s purposes and right now I’m focusing on having joy. I just wanna be happy.

First of all, you have great hair. Second, I grew up in the military, although my dad was the only one who WASN’T a pastor and/or a chaplain (including both brother-in-laws)… he decided to be a pilot instead.
Germany is so beautiful, I hope you’re having a great time there!!!
