We began a new year of homeschool yesterday.
I am so excited about this school year!!
I’m excited about the changes we’re making and I’m looking forward to growing and enjoying this amazing adventure with my children this year.
I’ve worked out a schedule where we’ll do school for pretty much 18 weeks straight (up to Thanksgiving) and then take off about seven weeks for our next move to El Paso. We’ll start back in January and school for another 18 weeks until the end of our year in May. I’m really excited about this schedule and the flexibility it will give us to transition during our next move without worry.
So, we got started yesterday and are easing into our new year nicely.
It was a fun day, with new school outfits for everyone.
Before we got started, I took some time to capture first day of school pictures of everyone.
I was hoping to take all of our pictures outside, but the sun was just shining in their eyes too much.
Poor Will just could not keep his eyes open, so we moved our photo session inside.
He did not like having his Captain America t-shirt covered by the button-down shirt, so off it came.
And out came the smiles…there’s my sweet little kindergartener!
My second graders, EA and MC wanted at least one picture together at their desks.
MC’s outfit came from her new favorite store, Justice. She loves all things sparkle!
EA was so excited about getting back to school. Before bed on Sunday night she exclaimed, “tomorrow is going to be the best day EVER!”
And we just couldn’t leave out Jenny…my little 2 year old who is really going to make this year challenging for her mommy!
When does school start back for you?
What are you most looking forward to in your upcoming school year?
