It has been way too long since I’ve posted my favorites…sorry about that.
I am getting into the swing of things again, though. And it feels so good to be able to say that.
My house is actually quiet right now.
I’d like Fridays to be relaxed time around here where I can just chat with you a bit and then share my favorites from my reader and online reading. Each night before bed as part of our bedtime routine, we ask the kids what their favorite part of the day was. Along with my list of favorite links, on Friday’s I’ll be sharing my three favorite things from our week.
1. Jenny has had two excellent days in a row (today being one of them). She slept so much during the day yesterday that I began to get worried. I must frustrate my husband to no end….when she doesn’t sleep and has fussy days, I worry and fret. And when she has really good days where she sleeps pretty much all the time, I worry and fret. Can I just not be satisfied?? I don’t know. I think I just want things to be “right†and to know that I am doing things “rightâ€, especially when it comes to my children. And especially when it comes to my baby.
I wish I were a more confident parent.
Jenny is my fourth baby and sometimes I feel as if I don’t know one bit more than I did with my first baby, which happened to actually be two.
But she is having better days and is even starting to settle into routines. I’m able to get a bit more done during the day and relax a bit.
2. I got a new haircut last Friday. Keith watched all of the kids and I went out to treat myself to a fresh summer cut. My hair had been driving me crazy since it was taking so long to fix and I just don’t have that kind of time. Anyway, I got it cut into a chin-length bob and I really LOVE it!!
3. I started pumping this morning. I’ve read it’s best to start between 4-6 weeks postpartum after breastfeeding has become established. I wanted to start last week but I never took the time to put all the parts of my pump together, so I did that yesterday. Anyway, I was able to pump 4 oz. after feeding Jenny first thing this morning…Yay!!
Instead of giving you a mile long list of favorites in an effort to “catch upâ€, I’m just going to start over and share my favorite links from this week. Stop by and leave some comment love on these excellent posts!

I’m pondering the idea of starting “Friday Favorites†as a link-up opportunity again. I would love your thoughts on this, though.
Would you be interested in sharing your own favorites each week and linking up with others?
If you have a favorites post to share today, please leave a link in the comments and I will stop by to visit. I do so love looking at what others find interesting.
