Now that the weather is getting a little warmer, we’ve been trying to spend more time outside.
Our backyard is a bit soggy from all the rain and snow we’ve had this year, so we’ve had to be creative in finding ways to get outside.
This weekend, MC enjoyed drawing out on the front porch.
The paper was leftover from the packers when we moved into our house and it is just perfect to lay down on the porch with some crayons and markers and draw away!
I’m so anxious for spring to come bearing rays of sunshine to warm all of my little faces!
Have you been finding new ways to spend some time outdoors?
You should…it’s definitely a “finer thing”!
Check out more “finer things” at Finer Things Friday.

What a great idea! My kids enjoyed playing in the remnant snow pile on our deck this weekend… it was so sunny and warm they didn’t even wear their coats. And yesterday my son ate his breakfast on the deck listening to the birds… I think we’re starting to get a bit of spring fever here as well!

How fun! My girls are desperate to go to the park and play on the playground, but we haven’t been able to yet. When a nice day comes, the playground is mobbed by every kid in the state, I think, and you can’t even find a parking place, much less a slide or swing that’s not occupied! I may use your idea and let them do some drawing out on the deck! 🙂

We did a similar thing with the packing paper last summer, only we played on the kitchen floor in the AC. It was July in SC after all. 🙂 Now the girls come up with their own ideas about different places to play. It is a lot of fun to listen to, and facilitate their ideas.
