Get Up and Get Dressed

curriculum blog hop

For our homeschool, I am intentionally trying to stick with the rule that the girls are dressed before we begin and it is highly preferable that they get dressed before breakfast. I am trying to teach them to “Get Up and Get Dressed” before they begin the day.

The theme for this week’s NOT Back to School Blog Hop is Student Photos. I snapped some shots of the girls before breakfast this morning.

ea_four year old smile

EA is sporting her “four-year old smile”. It’s highly annoying when you’re trying to get a good picture, but so very cute at the same time!

She insisted on tucking her shirt in this morning…all by herself!

mc_pledge pose

MC looks like she’s all ready to Pledge Allegiance to the Flag. Unfortunately, we haven’t added this to our routine yet, although I am considering it.

Such cute girls, don’t ya think??

Hop on over to Life with My 3 Boybarians to check out more student photos this week!

Yes, they ARE cute! :)

Kids aren’t kids without that camera smile, are they? LOL

My boys gave up pj’s this past year. They much prefer to sleep in their clothes for the next day– because it saves time in the morning (their words, not mine!). The only time they aren’t allowed to do this is on Saturday night since I don’t want their Sunday clothes to look quite so wrinkly!

They are beautiful! So is Will! Miss you. Want to do tea or a prayer meeting like we talked about soon?

Jacob has the same smile – yes VERY annoying at times but I’m sure we’ll laugh as we look back on these precious days!!

Love the photo angle too – very creative!

Nathan starts 4k next week and that is going to be the biggest adjustment– all of us getting dressed as soon as we get up! We only do that now the one or two days we have to get up and get to church or a playdate early. It’s going to take some planning! Do you lay their clothes out the night before or let them choose that morning? When we have MOPS or church and have to leave the house before 8am I always have to lay out their clothes to get out the door on time. I’m glad school is going well for you!!! :)

They are precious girls… too cute. My boys still do the four-year-old smile. They’re almost 9 and 10. It’s not cute anymore! :)

Adorable! Love the classic “cheese” grin and the pledge pose! I am hoping to make the pledge part of our morning “circle time.”

I agree. Your girls are adorable. My kids all get dressed before breakfast. I don’t remember training them to do it, but my son got very upset last week at my mom’s house when I wanted him to eat in his pajamas :)
