One of the challenging aspects of our move back to the states is the few weeks we are living in an empty house. The children have little to keep them busy, but homeschool, games, and crafts have really helped with that. But the walls are depressingly empty.
Last week, my friend brought over a great craft for us to do together and fill some space on our blank, white wall.
I traced and cut out the outline of the girls hands and wote on it what they told me they were thankful for.
MC is thankful for her baby doll, Zoe and her cousins.
EA is thankful for Marco (her very loved baby) and her friend Britta.
I still need to put Will’s hands on it, but he did tell me that he is thankful for Handy Mandy and juice…yes, I can attest that he does love his juice!
We placed these on the “Give Thanks” poster on the wall and then the girls took turns gluing leaves on the tree and colorful flowers in the grass.
We ended up with a wonderfully decorated wall and a great reminder of the many things that we have to be thankful for!
