Make Your Own Business Cards

Welcome to DailyDwelling! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When I decided to attend Blissdom ‘10 (yes, I am going and I am super excited about it), I knew I would need to find business cards to hand out to all the bloggers I am going to be there with. There are so many that I cannot wait to meet in person!

But I am a bit picky about things like that.

I almost never am fully satisfied with the cookie cutter design options and templates that are offered by websites where you order such things.

I like having the flexibility of designing my own to suite my individual taste.

I like pretty colors and fonts and images that I get to choose all on my own.

And for something as exciting as a trip to Nashville to meet and network with five hundred other bloggers, I really wanted something that would compliment my existing blog design.

So, that’s why I decided to make my own business cards.

It’s not too hard to do, especially if you already have a basic knowledge of photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, something that I already use for my digital scrapbooking.

I went with a front and back design and I am really pleased with the results.

So…what do you think?

I’m ordering these from Vista Print, where you can get a really great deal on business cards and all sorts of products for you or your blog.

I’ve been working on my double sided business cards for Blissdom too. I am having a hard time figuring out exactly what I want to do — wish me luck! :)

Yours look great, by the way! :)

Funny, I just made “old fashioned calling cards” yesterday. Army Wife Life lends itself to carrying these cards around. I find myself so often wanting to get together with others and without a moment to write information down, these cards make it a snap. Your cards are adorable. I am kind of afraid of Photoshop, and am thinking of going with the creative memories program, any thoughts on that?

Monica – These are FABULOUS!! I just love how your subtle background is the same as that on your site.

And I love the picture on it.

Unfortunately, I don’t have Photoshop or anything like it. And I am not exactly tech savvy.

What would you suggest for those of us that would like a nice, customized business card for Blissdom…but don’t want to spend huge amounts of money?

I’d love to order from Vistaprint as they are usually extremely reasonable, but I’d like something more custom.

The girl that designed my website also sent me a custom header that could go on a card and a little laundry logo. Any thoughts on what I can do with that?

Thanks for letting me pick your brain! I’d be happy to return the favor with any laundry advice!! :)

And I’m looking oh so forward to meeting you at Blissdom!

Thanks-
Lauren

Those are great! I hope someday to get to Blissdom and meet all my favorite bloggers!

Have a wonderful time there, Monica! It must be exciting to be able to do this after your long stay in Germany.
