Well, y’all, we are finally moved into a house in SC!!! Our household belongings were delivered on Thursday. I even got a sunburn standing on my front porch checking off the inventory as they brought box after box into our home.
We’ve spent the past three days unpacking and we’ll be unpacking all week until the unpacking is complete. Then pictures and curtains will be hung.
It’s already starting to feel like home.
We grilled burgers in the backyard yesterday evening and I even baked brownies for dessert. I’ll be cooking in my kitchen all week and I am so ready to trade in fast food and eating out for home cooked food.
Our menu is fairly simple this week, though, as I’ll be busy with unpacking all day every day.
Sunday – Grilled Burgers, tater tots, salad, and fresh watermelon. Brownies & ice cream for dessert!
Monday – Spaghetti; Salad; Steamed vegetables; Garlic Bread
Tuesday – Baked Barbecue Chicken; Rice; Corn
Wednesday – Oven Fried Pork Chops; Scalloped Potatoes; Steamed Veggies
Thursday – Chicken Stir Fry over Rice
Friday – Okay, I’m not quite sure about this one….
Saturday – Something on the Grill
I can’t tell you how good it feels to write out a menu for the week as we embrace a new normal.
It’s good to get back to blogging too….I’ve missed all of you!
