I have a super loose menu plan for this week mostly because of my own lack of planning. I didn’t have a concrete list before leaving the house for my Weight Watchers meeting Saturday morning. I always get groceries right after that meeting, so I jotted down a quick list as I was in the meeting and went from there.
Monday – Burritos & Sopapillas
Tuesday – Oven Baked Chicken Tenders; Macaroni & Cheese; Green Beans
Wednesday – Beans & Rice; Cornbread
Thursday – Breakfast for Dinner: Southwestern Scrambled Eggs & Toast
Friday – umm…I’m going to be winging it on Friday unless inspiration strikes!
I love the way Mandy at Biblical Homemaking does her weekly goals. She lists goals in each of these categories: Do, Read, Learn & Be. I think that’s a great way to organize weekly goal setting, so I’m adopting that as well and we’ll see how it goes!
Do:
- Buy birthday present
- Organize new homeschool curriculum on bookshelves
- Complete Project Life layouts for last two weeks of May
- Decide on Weekly Cleaning Schedule & Implement
- Take kids to splash Park
- Catch up on Laundry
Read:
- “She Reads Truth” Bible Study on the Sermon on the Mount
- Discipleship lesson
- “On Gold Mountain” by Lisa See Read through new curriculum
Learn:
- Memorize 2 Timothy 3:16 and John 15:7 for discipleship study
- Review past verses for discipleship
- Begin Phone Photography Course
Be:
- CONTENT: Philippians 4:11-12
“Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every sircumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.”
Here is a goals sheet I made for myself. I’ll be hanging this on the refrigerator as a reminder of my goals and hopefully checking them off throughout the week!
And here’s a blank Weekly Goals planning sheet you can print and use if you’d like to make out some goals for yourself.
What are your goals for this week?

I hope you enjoy Gold Mountian. I really loved that book. Have you read any other Lisa See novels? It is so fascinating to see how some of her real life family history fits into the novels. I like this goal method, too. I could use a little motivation and I like the mind set behind this method.
