Sometimes in the middle of all there is to do, it’s easy to lose sight of what has been done.
That’s where I am with our move right now.
There is so much to do in the next two days that it’s hard to keep track of exactly what has been done amist all that needs to be done.
We move in to guest housing here on Wednesday. Our house needs to be cleaned and completely empty before that can happen.
So, there is lots. to. do.
I’ve decided that I will keep myself motivated by making a list of what was accomplished at the end of the day. It makes me feel good to at least check the things that have been done off of my to-do list (even if I don’t have an official to-do list).
So today I….
…picked up my OB records from the hospital
…turned in our rental car
…cleaned out cabinets & pantry
…cleaned out refrigerator/freezer
…cleaned out spice cabinet
…packed homeschool books
…prepared dinner
…cut Will’s hair…witout the help of a booster seat to hold him down
…gave will a bath
…served dinner
…and hand washed the dishes!
I’d say that’s quite a lot of one day. And now that I wrote it all out, I’m pretty satisfied.
Yes, there’s lots more to do tomorrow.
But we’ll save tomorrow’s worries for tomorrow.

I felt overwhelmed just reading everything you had to do, but your list calmed me down!
Lists are great to keep things in check, and to prevent you from just flopping down on the couch and doing nothing in the face of having to do everything.

Sometimes the way to keep motivated is NOT to write a to do list but write a HAVE DONE list. WAY TO GO, you’re getting a lot done.
