Last night I was feeling a little stressed and a lot tired from packing for our trip when I tucked the girls into bed.
I hugged EA and said, “Mommy’s tired”.
She grabbed my face and said, “It’s okay, Mommy! You can get some rest in the night.”
I said, “I can’t go to sleep right now. I have to finish packing first.”
She said, “It’s okay, Mommy! You can just put the clothes in baskets and go to bed.”
I said, “No, I have to put the clothes in suitcases for our trip.”
EA says, “It’s okay, Mommy! You can just put the clothes in suitcases tomorrow.”
I said, “No, I really need to do it tonight.”
EA rubbed my face with her sweet little hands and said, “Well, it’s okay, Mommy! You can just be happy.”
And that’s just what I did.
