I love it when I’m able to integrate my blog writing with an idea and journaling for a scrapbook layout. This is what happened with this layout. The journaling came from this post about Will’s first fishing trip with his daddy.
The kit I used for this layout is Fishing Hole by Kristin Aagard. I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to use it to scrap this memory.

Journaling: On Saturday afternoon Keith got everything ready and he and Will started out on their firstfishing trip. On the way to the park, Will told his daddy that he wanted to be a fisherman when he grew up. Keith had to teach him how to throw the rod out into the water and how to reel it back in. While Will was practicing reeling his rod back in, Keith became a little distracted…until he heard the line pulling. There was a fish on it!! He helped Will reel it in as the fish pulled against him.And when it was completely pulled out of the water…Will took off running!!!He was adamant that the fish should immediately go back into the water, “put it back! put it back!”. He was scared of the dangling, flopping fish! Finally, the fish was thrown back into the water where he came from. On their way home, Will announced that he was a real fisherman. And it would seem that he is, except I’m not sure that they’re scared of the fish they catch!
Were you able to scrapbook a special memory this week?
If so, I’d love to see it!!! If you’re a digi-scrapper, leave me a link to your newest page.
