Keith really spoiled me for Christmas this year. One of my most exciting gifts was a photo printer. I have enjoyed it so very much!
Soon after getting it, I went shopping at the PX’s Power Zone for some printer paper. While there, I discovered Post-It Picture Paper. I already view the inventor of Post-it Notes as nothing less than a pure genius, so I thought I would give this a try.
I first used it to make a small invitation for some friends to join us for a dinner party. They were a new chaplain couple here and it was fun to make them a cute invitation that they could stick to their fridge.
I used this paper to print out invitations for EA and MC’s birthday party this year. It was great because their guests could peel off the backing and stick the invitation up as a reminder of the party!
But by far my favorite use of the picture paper has been to print off pictures that Keith sends to us from Iraq. I am able to post these pictures on our refrigerator for the girls to look at and it has meant the world to them. I am looking forward to accumulating his pictures throughout the deployment. EA and MC love to go in the kitchen and talk about the pictures of Daddy with his friends. We currently have a picture of him enjoying coffee at their Starbucks, riding a camel in Kuwait, and standing with two of his friends in the middle of a sandstorm.

Thanks for the inspiration! I actually bought a pack at the grocery store a few months ago from their clearance bin, but have forgotten to try them out. I will now!

I actually got a free sample of that years ago and never used it, I’ll have to go buy some. Seems like a neat idea!!

I love seeing the pictures of Keith. Those, along with reading his blog have given me a better appreciation of his job, and life in Iraq. Thanks to you both.
