This was the week that we began our new homeschool year.
The left side of my layout is dedicated to the first day of school. I used a school themed kit from this month’s Daily Digi Files and I just love how it turned out!!

I’ll have pictures from this week posted later today…my children are waiting on me to get our school day started! I’ve made a commitment to start school by 8 am each day. And I’m determined that blogging is not going to get in the way of that. It’s so easy to get distracted, but our days have are so much better when we get an early start.
The pictures from our first day of school can be found here.
Jenny is beginning to develop a love for books just like her big sister. She loves to be read to at night and more and more often I catch her sitting with a book intently looking at the pictures.
EA and MC have been really helpful about playing with Jenny while I’m going individual lessons in homeschool and they have free time.
MC came to me with a picture from a magazine and asked me to braid her hair in a fishtail braid. I am terrible with braids, but I promised her I would give it my best try. I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. It was a bit too loose, so it didn’t hold for very long, but I did my best and didn’t completely disappoint my girl.
Will is doing so well in school this year. I was happy when he asked to practice writing letters on his own.
What’s the best way to end a long week???
To have a huge pile-up on Daddy, of course!
I hope you’re having a lovely week and remembering to capture and cherish the memories you’re making with your family.
