I returned home from Blissdom last Sunday ready to soak up my family! After being gone for four days, I was missing my people.
We celebrated my twin girls’ 7th birthday last weekend! They are both such sweet girls who are a blessing to everyone who knows them, especially me. I am so proud of them!
Sunday – Somebody has learned to climb under her crib and hide. I’m not sure if this is a good or a bad thing, yet. But she sure is cute peeking out from under that dust ruffle.
Monday – We had lunch with friends, so Jenny had a late nap. When she finally went to sleep, she slept hard…so hard that I was able to take a picture of her sleeping without waking her up. Is it terrible of me to admit that her nap time is one of my favorite moments of the day.
Tuesday – EA was excited to fix lunch for everyone. It was just ham & cheese and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, but she was so proud of herself!
Thursday – It was such a beautiful day and the weather was perfect, so Keith gave the kids their dinner outside on the deck. I had a night out to myself to buy groceries and get supplies for our upcoming birthdays.
Friday – We took EA and MC out for a special birthday lunch and got a babysitter for Will and Jenny. Our babysitter was so nice to snap a family picture of us before we left. After lunch we took the girls to Build-a-Bear to pick out and dress up bears for their birthday. MC picked out Hello Kitty and EA picked out a Celebration Bear.
Also on Friday I got a picture of the kids doing a “Sprout Stretch” before bed. They love to watch the Goodnight Show on Sprout. It’s great for settling them down for bed after a busy day!
Saturday – We spent the day celebrating our girls! They wanted to help bake their cake/cupcakes, so they helped me in the kitchen all morning. As usual, EA requested strawberry cupcakes and MC wanted a chocolate sheet cake. I think I can thank Pioneer Woman for introducing us to that goodness!! We watched Annie together after quiet time followed by pizza for dinner. After dinner we dug into those cakes and then the girls opened their presents. Fun!!!
I kept the layouts really simple this week with some added word bits for the birthdays.
It worked out perfectly for me to fit all of the birthday pictures on the right side of the two page spread. Of course, I’ll be doing another digital layout dedicated to their birthday.

I love the birthday photos, especially the cake/ cupcakes ones at the bottom. Your pages are so lovely, and the font you use on your journal cards is so pretty.

What adorable curls on Jenny! I love to watch little ones as they sleep – it’s the only time my son is still! Just curious, once you have the layout done, do you send somewhere for printing? I imagine the printing costs are pretty high. I’m slowly teaching myself PSE 10 – I’ve got a long way to go before I can attempt scrapbooking pages! Love the idea of Project Life.

I love your pages! I think a lot of the digital PL pages feel really flat, but yours totally pop. Lovely!
That is a huge compliment…I work hard to get shadowing right so that they will look more “real”. Thank you!!!
