I’ve been working on teaching EA and MC to get dressed and undressed by themselves for quite a while.
There have been a few frustrations and hilarious moments along the way….
We went to a Christmas Open House at my friend, Carol’s house and discovered after arriving that both girls had their dresses on backwards.
On Monday I twittered about how I didn’t realize until 5 in the evening that they had their underwear on backwards. That can’t be comfortable!
On Saturday they almost completely dressed themselves, but had some matching issues.
But, more than anything, socks have been quite problematic.
MC finally mastered putting on her socks this weekend….
This sock mastery came with the proud announcement that she is a SUPER-DUPER Girl!!
Now that socks aren’t an issue, I think our next tackle will be getting MC’s shirts on over her head!

Great job! If the problem comes up again, try putting something on the top or bottom of the sock. Our socks say Hanes on the bottom. My girls learned by making sure the word was under the sock before they tried to put it on. Then it was aligned correctly to go on their feet correctly. Greatly reduced our frustration.
I like the new layout. Cool!

WAY TO GO! My almost five year old son has yet to tackle the socks… I need to work more on this.

My kids love their socks! Of course, my almost 3-year old daughter wants to wear the socks SHE wants to wear, so that gets a little tricky negotiating with her when it doesn’t match the outfit. 🙂 Great tackle and make sure to let “super-duper girl” know she did a super job!
