….and I’m not crying at all, but I could if I wanted to! And I guess that’s all that really matters, right?
If you’re stopping by to visit from the Ultimate Blog Party 2009, HELLO and WELCOME to Daily Dwelling!
Hello and Welcome to Daily Dwelling even if you’re not stopping by from the Blog Party, but if that’s the case, take the time to drop by 5 Minutes for Mom to see some really awesome blogs this week!
I’m Monica and Daily Dwelling has become very near and dear to my heart. It is my place to share my life with my husband, family and friends that are near and far away, and with you….the world otherwise known as the internet.
DailyDwelling is based on the verse Phillipians 4:8
Finally, bretheren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
So, that’s what I’m doing here….dwelling on these things. You can read more about the history and mision of DailyDwelling here.
First and foremost, I am a Child of God. I am striving to live my life to honor Him and to be the wife, mother and friend that he has called me to be. I enjoy writing small devotions and thoughts about spiritual topics. I would like to do this more, but it requires more brain action than I can give too often. By the end of the day, which is usually when I write, my brain is often fried!
I have been married for almost nine years to Chaplain Andrews. He is an Army chaplain currently deployed to Iraq for the second time. That makes me the wife of a Army Chaplain and I have a little something to say about that. I met Keith during my senior year in college at church and the rest was history! You can read all about our Love Story, his proposal, and our wedding. He just returned back to Iraq after spending almost three weeks at home during his mid-tour leave. We had an incredible time reuniting and reconnecting after ten months apart. I love him more with each passing day.
We have three children who’s antics take up most of the space on this blog. EA and MC are four year old twins. They are so much fun. I am starting to homeschool them and we enjoy reading all the books in our Sonlight curriculum. Will is a very active almost two year old. He stays busy giving me a run for my money and trying to keep up with his two older sisters. I enjoy my life as a Stay-at-Home Mom. It is the life I have gladly chosen. Even though there are daily ups and downs, it’s never ever boring around here!
We are stationed overseas in Germany. It probaly sounds more exciting that it really is. It’s just home to us. I do miss all of my family and friends in the United States and am so thankful for the way that DailyDwelling helps me keep up with them and them with us!
I enjoying crafts, especially digital scrapbooking, although I don’t have enough time for it. Hmmm….I can’t remember when the last time was that I completed a layout. But I do enjoy it!
I’ve also recently learned how to make pendants from Scrabble tiles and glass tiles. In fact, I am giving away a set of personalized, handmade scrabble and glass tiles as part of the Blog Party this week. There are over two hundred prizes being offered!
Some of my favorites are:
#28, Child’s Apron
#85, a Decorative Primitive Style Pillow
#50, $50 gift certificate to Paperlicious
#68, $30 gift certificate to Christian Book Distributors (I love to read!!)
#79, $30 gift certificate to Cute Clips and More
But, really….I’d be more than happy with anything on their wonderful list of prizes.
So, again…..Welcome!

Wow – we’ve been tweeting together a while now, but this may be the first time I’ve been here – I love your design and Phil 4:8 is one of my favorite verses!
Thanks for the party.
