It was nice to read this. We will be moving to the US next summer after 11 years in Europe. I am feeling sad because I am accustomed to the European lifestyle now, but you have reminded me of things to look forward to now. I will miss seeing your smiling face

COngrats on the official good news! It is so funny that some of the thnigs on your list were on mine 6 months ago. The laundry room was the biggest for me as we had soem decent shopping and restaurants in our area of France. I’m with you on the phone calls, mail box/arrival time of mail, family/friends, and access to things like conferences. I don’t kn ow that life in the US is any easier really but it is surely more convenient being able to get things done in your own language!

Congrats! I’m very happy for you… and now I can tell you are a southern girl …. you mentioned Chik-Fil-A…. never saw one until I moved south!
