For Father’s Day this year, I made Keith a Superman cake because he is a Super Man, daddy, father, chaplain, leader, and friend.
I am so proud of him for his service to our country and our family.
These last few weeks as we have reunited and enjoyed being a family again have been absolutely wonderful.
My greatest joys have been in watching him interact with our children. I am so thankful that he has been able to be here with us this Father’s Day. I hope that his presence is something that I never take for granted.
EA, MC, and Will love their Daddy so much!
EA and MC still tell him almost on a daily basis, “Welcome Home!”. They are so happy to have their daddy home with them and they miss him when he leaves for even the smallest amount of time, like when we went on a date last night.
I like to think of myself as a strong and independant woman and Army wife, but I have realized more than anything that I need my husband, I need my children’s father. I need his help, support, encouragement, friendship, and his presence.
And my heart is filled in knowing that my need and my children’s needs are filled with our Superman home.
